Tracey Feltham
I have over 20 years of experience working as a Psychologist in a diverse range of settings including NSW Health in adult and adolescent health settings, at the University of Sydney in the Psycho-oncology Cooperative Research Group exploring End of Life Issues, and at Westmead Hospital in the Gynaecology Oncology Department.
I love teaching and training clinicians, particularly in the early stages of their career. This has led me to a role at the University of Technology Sydney, in the Clinical Psychology degree, helping to train and supervise the next generation of Psychologists. I have been running my Practice in Sydney for the past 13 years where I now dedicate the majority of my time to supervising our team.
Again and again in the course of Supervision I have been struck by the trepidation some clinicians have in working with issues around end of life and bereavement. I can understand this anxiety, given that many clinicians have very little training or supervision in these areas. This is where the Death Literacy Institute comes in, and I am excited to be part of the work the Institute is undertaking.
