Tracey Feltham
I have over 20 years of experience working as a Psychologist in a diverse range of settings including NSW Health in adult and adolescent health settings, at the University of Sydney in the Psycho-oncology Cooperative Research Group exploring End of Life Issues, and at Westmead Hospital in the Gynaecology Oncology Department.I love teaching and training clinicians, particularly in the early stages of their career. This has led me to a role at the University of Technology Sydney, in the Clinical Psychology degree, helping to train and supervise the next generation of Psychologists. I have been running my Practice in Sydney for the past 13 years where I now dedicate the majority of my time to supervising our team.
Again and again in the course of Supervision I have been struck by the trepidation some clinicians have in working with issues around end of life and bereavement. I can understand this anxiety, given that many clinicians have very little training or supervision in these areas. This is where the Death Literacy Institute comes in, and I am excited to be part of the work the Institute is undertaking.
